The Tool Maker performs technical tool-making work, including designing, fabricating, modifying, repairing, and maintaining tools, fixtures, and gages to support manufacturing operations. What we are looking for:

• The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, with technical training preferred, along with a minimum of three (3) years of tool making experience or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and experience.
• Proven experience as a Toolroom Machinist or similar role in a precision manufacturing environment is required, along with strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling design.
• The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with the ability to interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, manual and CNC machining equipment, and the ability to design, fabricate, modify, and repair tooling, fixtures, and gages are essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to troubleshoot issues, recommend process improvements, and work independently on custom or one-off projects with minimal supervision are required.
• A commitment to producing high-quality work and maintaining accuracy in a precision manufacturing environment is expected.

What you'll do:

• Interpret complex blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to produce precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM equipment.
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection tools to ensure exact tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and repair worn or damaged tooling to restore optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to design and refine tooling solutions for new products or process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.
