Details Labor and Delivery unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms Facility performs 200-300 births per month at a teaching hospital Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, and high risk antepartum patients Staffing ratio of 1:1 to 1:3 Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30 Floating required to Post-Partum and possibly L&D at Swedish First Hill Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate ACLS certification preferred Epic EMR experience required Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood and blood product administration, central line maintenance, and medication administration Experience with anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and Magnesium Sulfate therapy required Labor and delivery management skills required including assisting with high risk deliveries, circulating and recovering C-sections, and sterile vaginal exams Pain management experience required including epidural anesthesia and PCA (IV) use Fetal monitoring and IUPC placement/calibration experience required Experience with antepartum care, obstetrical triage, and postpartum care and procedures required 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Additional Information Attends all deliveries including high risk deliveries and assists with GYN surgeries Provides care across couplet care, low risk antepartum, and transition nursery settings Responsibilities include circulating, scrub duties, and pre/post-op care Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer; post-offer requests may not be granted Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location First-time travelers are accepted with the required minimum experience Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate Radius rule of 50 miles applies for former Providence perm staff seeking to return as travelers Former Providence perm employees must wait at least 3 months and be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility before returning as travelers Only one submission system-wide is allowed American Traveler Job ID P-749307.
