While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.The WorkLead & Mentor SE Team – Guide ~30 junior and senior systems engineers, set priorities, create capability concepts, and stay “hands‑on” producing and reviewing key engineering artifacts.Model‑Based Requirement Decomposition – Break high‑level needs into traceable, hierarchical requirements; capture stakeholder intents in DOORS/Next/Jama; use SysML use‑case/activity diagrams; maintain bidirectional traceability and run requirement workshops.Architecture Development & Management – Build, validate, and maintain logical/physical system architectures using SysML (BDD, IBD, parametrics); define boundaries, interfaces, and data flows; generate DoDAF/UAF‑aligned viewpoints; perform trade studies and verify compliance with latency, bandwidth, and threat constraints via simulation (MATLAB/Simulink, STK, SysML).Model‑Based Analyses & Verification – Conduct trade studies and reliability assessments directly from the model; create model‑derived test cases with Integration & Test; automate verification, analyze results, update models, and close the verification loop.Interface Control & Management – Produce and maintain authoritative ICDs/IRSs linked to the architectural model; ensure instant propagation of interface changes to all related requirements and designs.Stakeholder Representation & Communication – Embed warfighter/operator viewpoints; derive requirements, architecture, and interfaces from customer inputs; deliver technical briefings, architecture overviews, and traceability matrices to senior leadership and external customers.Process & Tool Integration – Integrate MBSE tools with configuration‑management (Git, SVN) and requirements‑management systems; champion model‑driven development and testing to drive code generation, simulation, and verification.Who We AreAs leaders of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin partners with industry leaders to develop and field the backbone of America’s missile defense. Desired SkillsExpertise in model‑based architecture development using SysML (BDD, IBD, parametric diagrams) and familiarity with DoDAF/UAF viewpoints.Hands‑on experience with simulation and analysis tools (MATLAB/Simulink, STK, or built‑in SysML simulation) for performance trade studies.Knowledge of interface control processes, including creation and management of ICDs and automated impact analysis of changes.Effective communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities, including facilitating requirement workshops and presenting technical briefings to senior leadership and customers.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
