Job Description As a Security Officer Screener in Needles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and staff, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and assist with routine site procedures. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $16.90 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:30 AM - 04:00 PMTue07:30 AM - 04:00 PMWed07:30 AM - 04:00 PMThur07:30 AM - 04:00 PMFri07:30 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Screen visitors, staff, and/or approved items using assigned screening equipment and established entry procedures, and help to identify prohibited or restricted items. Verify identification, visitor purpose, and/or authorization for entry, and direct individuals to the appropriate check-in area or department. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through required documentation and communication channels. Conduct regular and random patrols around designated public areas, entry points, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site. Minimum Requirements: 2+ years of security-related experience is required. The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
