HEADLINE: Long Island , New York ( Nassau and Suffolk Counties ): One to two BE/BC Pulmonary/CriticalCare physicians are needed to join a busy and successful single-specialtyPulmonary/Critical Care group practice. Full-Time and Part-Time employment areboth available. **This practice is also offering an additional option ofworking as an Independent Provider/ Independent Contractor. The newPulmonary/CC physician will do a mixture of in-hospital Pulmonary and CriticalCare consultation services, follow ups, procedures and office- basedmanagement. There will be a choice of three different work and call schedules.This practice will also try to accommodate the new physician's preferencesregarding work assignments. Sleep Medicine and some teaching are both availableand are also optional. $ Generous/very competitive financial compensationpackage for the Long Island area. The starting base salary range is from $300,000to $350,000.

LOCATION : Long Island , New York

• This practice currently admits to one hospital located in Nassau County and the other hospital located inSuffolkCounty. (To be discussed)

PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY :

• One to two BE/BC Pulmonology/Critical Care physicians areneeded to join a busy and successful single-specialty group practice.
  

• Full-Time, Part-Time, and Independent Provider/IndependentContractor employment are all available.

• The new Pulmonary/CC physician(s) will do a mixture ofin-hospital Pulmonary and Critical Care consultation services, follow ups,procedures and office-based management.

• This practice will try to accommodate the physician'spreferences regarding work assignments/schedules.

• These excellent Pulmonary/CC opportunities are due to thegrowth and expansion of their practice, patient base and service area.

• This practice was established about nineteen-plus years ago.

• Sleep Medicine: Sleep Medicine Certification would be a plusbut is not a requirement. One of their pulmonologists is also Director of theSleep Lab.

• Teaching opportunities : For those Pulmonary/Critical Carephysicians who want to do some teaching, there will be the opportunity to doso. One of their two hospitals has a Family Practice Residency program thatstarted in the summer of 2022 and an Internal Medicine Residency program thatstarted in the summer of 2023.

They offer the following work and callschedule options :

A. First Option :

• Work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Weekend Call: 1 out of 4 weekends

• Weekday Call: It will be one weekday per week.
  
• Weekend Call: She or he will only cover one hospital.

B. Second Option :

• Shift Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off

• The week that the physician is working a shift, the hoursare from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Call Schedule for the week working a Shift Schedule: Thephysician will be on call from Friday night until Monday morning. Night callwill be very light with dedicated Mid-Level Providers ( MLP ) available 24/7 providingassistance covering the Pulmonary/CC physician's patients.

C. Third Option :

• Independent Provider/Independent Contractor . Pulmonary Medicine/ CC physicians who want towork as an Independent Provider: Whenyou apply, please include your availability.

Hospital/Medical Center Information :

• This practice admits to two hospitals. One is located in Nassau County . It is an award winningfull-service community hospital. It provides comprehensive inpatient,outpatient, critical care and surgical services. (To be discussed)

• The second hospital is located in Suffolk County . It is a large teaching hospital.It also operates a Level II trauma center. (To be discussed)
  
• The new physician will work in their closed Intensive CareUnit with 12 beds with 8 Step-down unit (SDU) beds. Average occupancy 75% -80%. The new Pulmonary/CC physician will see patients and provide consults onthe critical care patients.

• Availability : Pulmonary/Critical Care fellows completing theirtraining during 2026, plus Pulmonary/ CC physicians who are already in practicewith prior work experience are both welcome to apply and will all be stronglyconsidered.

FINANCIAL COMPENSATION : This successful and busy practice isoffering the Pulmonary/CC physician:

• The starting base salary range is generous and verycompetitive for the Long Island area. (The starting base salaryrange: $300,000 to $350,000.)
  
• Productivity Incentive Bonus: For both of the work schedules- A. First Option and B. Second Option, there will also be a productivityincentive bonus. Depending upon how hard this physician is willing and able towork, it will definitely increase the earning potential of the incomingPulmonologist/CC physician(s).
