Construction Manager - Roadway and Bridge

What You Will Do:

GFT is seeking a ConstructionManager - Roadway and Bridges to join our Construction Services Team in Chicago or Rockford, IL ! This role requires regular attendance at our Chicago and/or Rockford, IL office.

What you'll be challenged to do:

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
• Prepares and monitors project schedules.
• Performs periodic construction observation and inspection.
• Possesses basic surveying interpretation skills.
• Prepares reports and correspondence.
• Prepares and checks quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
• Prepares construction payment applications.
• Negotiates and prepares construction change orders.
• Reviews submittals and other technical data.
• Proficient with construction management software for document management and scheduling.
• Performs constructibilityreviews and value engineering studies.
• Assists with Risk Management assessments.
• Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.

Education | Experience: What you will bring to our firm:

• BS in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• IDOT Documentation Certification, required.
• 7+ years of experience.
• Experience with Primavera P6 preferred.
• 10-hour OSHA Safety course.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess a driver's license to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $98,000 - $140,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location. Featured Benefits:
