Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CVOR Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:45 - 18:45); 12 hours (10:45 - 22:45) Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty required License: State license required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA or NCCT Must-Have: CVOR case experience in the following: - Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair - Atrial Septal Defect Repair - Carotid Endarterectomy - Coronary Artery Bypass Graft - Endovascular Aneurysm Repair - Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR) - Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft - Mitral Valve Replacement - Pericardial Window - Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) - Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR) - Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) - ECMO Description: The CVOR Tech position involves assisting with cardiac surgeries and vascular procedures. Types of cardiac surgeries include: - Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) - Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR) - Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR) - Tricuspid Valve Replacement (TVR) - Aortic Aneurysm/Dissection - Total Artificial Heart - Heart Transplant - LVAD Implantation - Minimally Invasive Valve Replacement - Trans-catheter Mitral/Aortic/Tricuspid Valve Replacement Types of vascular surgeries include: - Endovascular and Open Vascular Procedures - Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) - Endarterectomy - Bypass for Peripheral Artery Disease - Amputation - ECMO Decannulation and Repositioning The position requires the ability to participate in up to 2 weekends of call per month and holiday call as needed. Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization processes is essential. The facility utilizes specific charting systems. Experience with Excellian and Epic is preferred. Interdisciplinary support is available to assist with patient care. The daily census averages 8-10 patients. Candidates should be prepared to engage in ongoing education and training as required.
