Available Schedule

Part-time – 3 days per week

3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

8-hour shifts

Weekend availability as needed

Position Summary

As a Certified Medication Technician, you'll help ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our residents by administering medications accurately, monitoring resident health, logging critical information, and providing compassionate support throughout the day. You'll work closely with nurses and caregivers to deliver exceptional resident-centered care in a safe and welcoming environment.

What You'll Do

• Administer medications as prescribed under the supervision of a licensed nurse while following all state and federal regulations.

• Demonstrate and follow the "Five Rights" of medication administration.

• Accurately document all medications and treatments using the electronic medication record system.

• Observe residents for medication effectiveness, reactions, or side effects and report concerns immediately.

• Administer PRN medications according to physician orders and facility policies.

• Take and record vital signs as assigned.

• Maintain infection prevention practices, including proper hand hygiene and universal precautions.

• Report changes in resident condition or behavior promptly.

• Complete incident and accident reports as required.

• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other departments.

• Assist in supervising care staff when nursing leadership is unavailable.

• Keep the medication room clean, organized, and properly stocked.

• Participate in required training sessions, staff meetings, and continuing education.

• Maintain resident confidentiality while treating every resident, family member, and coworker with kindness, dignity, and respect.

• Follow all community policies, safety procedures, and Residents' Rights guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Completed.

• Current Certified Medication Aide/Technician (CMA/CMT) certification required, including current transcripts and required observations.

• Previous experience in assisted living or long-term care is preferred but not required for qualified certified applicants.
