Schedule : Monday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM | Thursday to Saturday: 6:00 PM - 4:00 AM

Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a professional Armed Security Officer to support security operations in Glenwood Springs. This position is responsible for helping maintain a safe environment for visitors, staff, and property asset.
The role includes conducting routine patrols throughout the property, monitoring activity inside and outside the property, and responding to security-related concerns in a professional manner.

Primary Duties

Facility Security & Patrol

• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols throughout the property campus
• Inspect entrances, parking areas, walkways, and restricted locations
• Monitor property conditions and identify potential security or safety concerns
• Maintain a visible security presence to help deter disruptive behavior and unauthorized activity
• Assist with securing sensitive or restricted areas when required

Public Interaction & Incident Response

• Interact professionally with visitors, contractors, and staff
• Respond to disturbances, suspicious activity, or policy violations according to site procedures
• Assist with managing situations involving emotionally distressed or intoxicated individuals
• Support personnel during security-related incidents
• Contact emergency responders or law enforcement when appropriate

Observation & Reporting

• Remain alert to unusual behavior, safety hazards, or operational concerns
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately
• Prepare detailed reports in accordance with company and client requirements
• Communicate important information to supervisors and designated property personnel

Safety & Professional Standards

• Follow all post orders, property policies, and company procedures
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct while on duty
• Safely carry authorized security equipment in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
• Exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive or high-stress situations

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm while performing assigned duties
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional during difficult interactions
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work both indoor and outdoor assignments throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous armed security, military, law enforcement, or public safety experience
• Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and conflict management
• Experience preparing incident reports and security documentation
• Strong observational and decision-making abilities
