Cores Silicon Validation Engineer THE ROLE: We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Systems Design Engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor to the success of AMD’s products, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The Systems Design Engineering team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development. THE PERSON: As a Systems Design Engineer, you will drive scalable and automated solutions. In this high visibility position, your systems engineering expertise will be necessary to define products, develop solutions, assess root causes, and produce solution resolutions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Experience in System Validation and Hardware Design ValidationStrong understanding of core architecture; experience in core validation, running benchmarks/workloadsFamiliarity with multiple operating systems and OS-based workloads/benchmarksprogramming/scripting experience in languages such as C/C++, Perl, Ruby, and PythonProficient in debugging techniques and methodologiesExperience in software programming and tool management is an advantageExtensive expertise in board/platform-level debugging, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimizationDeep knowledge of system architecture, technical debugging, and validation strategiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detailHighly self-motivated and capable of independently driving tasks to completionPREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Programming/scripting skills (e.g., C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python). Debug techniques and methodologiesExperience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc. Experience with board/platform-level debug, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimizationKnowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategiesACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering LOCATION:Austin, TXThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.#LI-LM1#LI-HYBRIDBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
