Mechanical Assembler

AssemblerThe Assembler performs precise mechanical assembly of cleavers used to cut fiber optic cables, working from detailed work instructions to build small mechanical components with minor wiring. This full-time role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with hand and measuring tools, and the ability to quickly learn new assemblies and processes.ResponsibilitiesInterpret complex and detailed work instructions to assemble fiber optic cleaver units accurately and consistently.Perform mechanical assembly of small, intricate components, ensuring all parts are correctly positioned and secured.Utilize small hand tools and measuring tools to assemble units and verify proper fit and alignment.Complete basic wiring tasks on units as required, following documented procedures and safety guidelines.Learn and adopt new assembly processes and product configurations quickly, applying training to production work.Communicate effectively with peers and support personnel to coordinate work, clarify instructions, and resolve issues.Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail throughout all assembly and wiring activities.Follow established work instructions, production procedures, and quality standards during assembly tasks.Support the production team by being flexible and willing to work in different assembly areas as needed.Essential SkillsProven ability to interpret and follow complex work instructions for mechanical assembly.Hands-on experience using small hand tools and measuring tools in an assembly or production environment.Demonstrated capability to perform mechanical assembly of small parts and components.Experience with basic wiring tasks, including following documented wiring instructions.Strong attention to detail, ensuring precise and accurate assembly work.Ability to learn and be trained on new assemblies and processes quickly.Effective communication skills for working with peers and support personnel.Experience in technical mechanical assembly, ideally in environments that rely on formal work instructions.Experience in electronics or technical manufacturing environments.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in small parts assembly or fine mechanical work.Comfort working from detailed written work instructions and process documentation.Ability to adapt to changing production needs and support multiple assembly lines or products.Interest in long-term employment and professional growth within a growing production environment.Previous work in a tight-knit production or manufacturing team setting.Why Work Here?Join a growing, smaller organization with a solid growth trajectory where you can build a long-term career and grow alongside the company.
