Key job responsibilities

- Providing strategic guidance on regulatory matters (in particular compliance with new laws) and new industry and business developments

- Provide strategic guidance and legal counsel on a variety of transactions

- Closely cooperating with business and legal stakeholders across Amazon Global Media and Entertainment

- Some travel may be required

A day in the life

You will be the primary legal support for many Amazon Music business clients in North America and globally. You will directly advise the Amazon Music businesses on a broad range of matters, focusing on regulatory guidance. You will work as the lead lawyer on strategic projects, providing day-to-day advice to the business on a wide range of legal areas and new business initiatives. You will be asked to develop innovative solutions to novel legal questions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience

- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

- Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience advising clients on IP, technology, entertainment, and/or consumer law issues

- Excellent analytical and communication skills and the ability to act as business partner

- Ability to develop creative and pragmatic solutions to novel legal questions

- Good judgment in ambiguous and fast-moving situations

- Ability to deliver results independently as well as collaboratively

- Ability to remain nimble, learn, be curious, and adapt to a changing world

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
