Role Description The Assistant Manager role at Sunglass Hut is a part-time, on-site position based in Tysons Corner, VA. This role supports the Store Manager in daily store operations, including driving sales, overseeing customer service, and maintaining store presentation and merchandising standards. The Assistant Manager helps lead, coach, and motivate the store team, ensuring that each customer receives a personalized, welcoming, and knowledgeable experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, monitoring key performance indicators, handling cash management and opening/closing procedures, and ensuring adherence to company policies. The Assistant Manager also contributes to training new team members, promoting brand values, and supporting local marketing or promotional activities to grow store performance. Qualifications Experience in retail sales or customer service, with demonstrated ability to build rapport, understand customer needs, and deliver a high-quality in-store experience. Foundational leadership skills, including team coaching, delegation, and giving constructive feedback to support a positive, performance-driven environment. Operational capabilities such as basic cash handling, point-of-sale system use, inventory and stock management, and adherence to store procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team and engage confidently with customers. Organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and respond calmly to unexpected situations during busy periods. Flexibility to work a part-time schedule that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak retail seasons. Interest in fashion, accessories, or eyewear, with a willingness to learn product features, brand stories, and styling guidance. High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a supervisory or key-holder role in retail is preferred but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
