Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Breast Center is actively seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mammographer to support on a full-time capacity.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing mammography radiographic exams on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.
• Helping maintain appropriate patient flow and ensuring delivery of quality services in the imaging department.
• Demonstrating excellent technical skills. Acts as a resource and mentor to staff and less experienced technologists.
• Reviewing incomplete exam list and unsigned report status routinely.
• Functioning as a liaison between physicians, technologists and department support staff.
• Entering and monitoring patient data and health history as its pertinent to the exam being performed.
• Performing quality assurance on mammography equipment. Recommending equipment modifications. Identifying and helping to resolve equipment malfunctions. Completing initial and renewal application for ACR and any other accreditation.
• Maintaining safety, environmental, and infection control procedures for the department.
• Helping schedule technologists to ensure appropriate staffing for expected patient volume.
• Intervening with patients to help resolve complaints and issues.
• Responsible for supply management.
• Taking emergency call within the department.
• Ensuring safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
• Promoting individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supporting department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serving as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
• Demonstrating commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Modeling Memorial Hermann's service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
