Job Title: Android Developer
Durations: Long-Term
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Job Description:
Build and maintain Android features for Home Protection experiences.
Collaborate with product, backend, and device teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Contribute to app architecture, design discussions, and high-leverage technical decisions.
Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code using modern Android frameworks, while utilizing cross-platform frameworks where appropriate.
Implement and expand dynamic, Spec-Driven Development (SDD) rendering frameworks to deliver backend-driven mobile UI.
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of professional Android development experience.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
Hands-on experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) or building UI frameworks driven dynamically by backend JSON schemas.
Experience integrating RESTful APIs and managing complex client-side state logic.
Familiarity with MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar architecture patterns.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional experience or deep familiarity with Flutter and Dart for cross-platform mobile development.
Experience building smart home, IoT, hardware activation, or physical device orchestration workflows.
Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and modern Android development tools.
Understanding of Android permissions, privacy constraints, and app lifecycles.
Experience building or maintaining large-scale consumer applications.
