We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our dermatology team. The Medical Assistant will support providers in both general medical dermatology and surgical dermatology, helping ensure efficient patient flow, excellent patient care, and a positive patient experience.

The ideal candidate is a team player with strong communication and organizational skills who is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. Previous medical assisting and/or dermatology experience is preferred, but candidates who are eager to learn and grow in the specialty are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Patient Care

• Room patients, obtain medical histories, and document vital signs as appropriate.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist providers with general dermatology examinations and treatments.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.

Surgical Dermatology & Procedures

• Assist providers with dermatologic surgical procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and other in-office treatments as trained and authorized.
• Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, supplies, and sterile fields as required.
• Maintain aseptic technique and follow infection prevention and instrument sterilization protocols.
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and post-procedure instructions.
• Ensure procedure rooms are cleaned, stocked, and ready for the next patient.
