divh2Deep Draw Toolmaker/h2pCadence is seeking an experienced Deep Draw Toolmaker at the Watertown, CT facility to support high-precision metal forming operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing deep draw die tooling used in eyelet press operations./ppThe ideal candidate brings strong hands-on toolmaking expertise, precision machining skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement. If you enjoy working with complex tooling, solving technical challenges, and contributing to high-quality manufacturing processes, we encourage you to apply./ph3Key Responsibilities:/h3ulliSet up tooling in eyelet machines and verify that produced parts meet all required specifications throughout the entire manufacturing run/liliProduce, repair, and maintain tooling for eyelet machines using a variety of toolroom machines and hand tools/liliSupport press setup and production teams during tool launches, troubleshooting, and program transfers/liliModify and improve tooling designs to enhance part quality, manufacturing efficiency, and tool life/liliPerform preventative maintenance on tooling components/liliInterpret engineering drawings, GDT requirements, and tooling blueprints/liliMaintain toolroom equipment and follow safe working practices at all times/li/ulh3Qualifications:/h3ulli5+ years of deep draw die toolmaking experience required/liliStrong experience supporting eyelet press machining operations/liliProficiency with toolroom equipment, including manual lathes, Bridgeport milling machines, and manual surface grinders/liliStrong understanding of deep draw forming principles and metal flow behavior/liliSolid knowledge of measurement methods, precision inspection tools, and quality practices/liliAbility to troubleshoot dimensional and cosmetic part defects/liliStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail/li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications:/h3ulliExperience with Lassy, Waterbury Farrell, or Baird eyelet machines/liliJourneyman Eyelet Toolmaker certification/liliExperience working with stainless steel and thin-gauge materials/li/ulh3What Youll Bring:/h3ulliA hands-on approach to toolmaking and continuous improvement/liliStrong collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams/liliA commitment to precision, safety, and high-quality manufacturing/li/ulpCadence is a leading contract manufacturer specializing in precision components and assemblies for the medical device and life sciences industries.
