Job Summary Administers dental program and directs departmental activities in accordance with accepted national standards and administrative policies. The fundamental reason this classification exists is to ensure that JRMC receives reimbursement for services rendered according to FQHC regulations. The position requires the JRMC staff has a working knowledge of insurance billing policies and procedural guidelines. Coordinates the organization and delivery of services to various mobile dental van clinic site visits. Performs varied clinical and administrative duties and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities Essential Functions: Schedule maintenance Newark and Perth Amboy Provider’s (time off, leaving early, coverage, etc.) Schedule maintenance for Dental Assistant’s Schedule maintenance for Sterilization Clerk’s Lab Statements Payroll for the department Infection Control Trainings Denta Quest Grant Delta Grant Dental assistant evaluation (90 day and year end) Mobile scheduling Interviewing, hiring, terminating, and replacing dental assistant and sterilization clerks Dental budget maintenance Emergency Preparedness CQI Meet with Vendors for servicing and ordering supplies Schedule lunch and learns for Perth Amboy and Newark Assist in creating department policies and procedures Register and follow through with departmental events Sites visits for insurance companies at Perth Amboy and Newark locations Motivate office personnel to serve patient claims Respond efficiently to patient and doctor need and inquires Ensure the delivery of quality dental care for patients Resolve patient issues in accordance with company policies and procedures, healthcare regulations and dental board standards Manage patient scheduling and direct patient flow Support marketing and promotion initiatives Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
