Assistant Director of Finance

ANNOUNCEMENT


Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time Administrative position of Assistant Director of Finance.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position assists the Director of Finance with the management and maintenance of effective accounting, accounts payable and financial reporting systems for all funds under the control of the district. Responsible for a range of accounting and financial management duties on a district-wide basis, utilizing professional judgement in the application of accounting practices. The work involves supervisory responsibilities of the Accountant I staff and Accounts Payable staff.


QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
2. Minimum of three years accounting experience is required.
3. Experience in an education environment preferred.
4. Supervisory experience is preferred.
5. PeopleSoft experience is preferred.
6. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.

STARTING PAY AND HOURS

Salary Grade 5 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from $69,450 to $86,857.
