Marketing Manager, North America Location: New York, NY At BabyBjörn, we believe that having a baby should open up new possibilities, not put life on hold. We are looking for a Marketing Manager, North America to lead our marketing team and serve as head of marketing for the North American market. Reporting to the General Manager of North America, you will set direction for an experienced team of channel managers, while personally leading retailer and B2B marketing where you will be most hands-on. Across the full marketing mix, you lead through others: setting priorities, aligning local plans with our global brand and marketing strategy, and helping a capable team do their best work. In retailer marketing, you roll up your sleeves: building joint marketing plans with the sales team to support key retail partners, activating retailer programs, and owning the results. You will represent marketing within our North American organization and act as the brand’s marketing voice with retailers, distributors, and other external partners. We are looking for a collaborative and engaging leader who combines strong marketing expertise with a practical, can-do attitude. Someone who enjoys working across teams and markets, knows when to set direction and when to get into the details, and can turn a shared strategy into local impact. Lead the North American marketing team — set direction, create alignment, and coach and develop a team spanning Performance Marketing, eCommerce, Social, Partnerships, and Trade Merchandising. Oversee the full local marketing mix — ensure that trade marketing, performance marketing, social media, PR, influencer marketing, e-commerce, and email work together to build brand awareness and support commercial growth. Own the North American marketing plan and budget — translate global priorities into clear local goals, strategies and activities that support brand and business objectives, while making smart use of available resources. Bring the BabyBjörn brand to life locally — drive brand awareness and ensure our global brand identity is consistently and effectively activated across the market. Connect global strategy with local execution — act as the key North American marketing contact for global go-to-market initiatives and brand campaigns and synthesize market feedback, opportunities, and challenges into clear, actionable input that helps inform global decisions. Represent marketing in the local organization — partner closely with Sales to align priorities, share knowledge, and identify opportunities across the business. Own retailer marketing Lead retailer and B2B marketing — build and execute joint marketing plans with key retail partners, manage co-op and marketing development funds, and develop retailer-specific campaigns, content, and activations. Be BabyBjörn’s marketing voice with retail partners — represent our marketing agenda with major retailers, distributors, and other partners, and turn joint initiatives into measurable sell-through. Support trade marketing, trade shows, and events — work closely with our Trade Merchandising Manager to concept and deliver trade shows, events, and other market-facing initiatives. You will oversee a team of five that spans eCommerce, Performance Marketing, Social, Partnerships, and Trade Merchandising. your role is to set direction, connect the work, and remove obstacles while personally taking the lead on retailer marketing. You are an experienced marketing professional and people leader who enjoys bringing people together, creating clarity and getting things done. You are confident representing marketing at a senior level, and comfortable getting deep into the details — especially with retail partners — while trusting experienced managers to own their channels. You are happy to move between strategic discussions, stakeholder management, and hands-on retailer work. You understand that strong local marketing is built on both a clear global brand direction and thoughtful local activation. You are comfortable working within an established global strategy and brand identity, using your market knowledge and creativity to make them relevant and effective for North American consumers and retail partners. Proven, hands-on experience in retailer, trade, or shopper marketing with national retailers across mass, specialty, and online channels, including joint business planning, co-op/MDF management and retailer campaign activation, ideally within a consumer brand environment. ~5+ years of marketing experience, including experience leading channel specialists and managing priorities across multiple stakeholders. ~ Experience translating brand strategy and campaign concepts into effective local marketing plans and activations. ~ Strong commercial understanding and the ability to connect marketing activities to broader business objectives. ~ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence both senior leaders and operational teams. ~ A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset and the confidence to share market insights, raise concerns constructively and make decisions.
