Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician with phlebotomy expertise to support overnight shifts. The candidate will perform laboratory testing and specimen collection with precision and care, ensuring accurate results for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Collect blood samples via venipuncture and capillary techniques, demonstrating excellent phlebotomy skills.
• Perform a variety of laboratory tests utilizing analyzer systems such as Abbott Chem, Architect, and Echo Blood Bank.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and analyzers, ensuring proper calibration and quality control.
• Document test results accurately in the Epic electronic health record system.
• Follow safety procedures and adhere to regulatory standards in all laboratory activities.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient laboratory operations during overnight shifts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an MLT, Medical Technologist, or Clinical Lab Scientist credential.
• Proven experience with phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Familiarity with laboratory analyzers including Abbott Chem, Architect, and Echo Blood Bank.
• Prior Epic system experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work overnight shifts from 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
