Substitute Custodian School Year

Substitute Custodian (2026-2027 School Year) Newton Community School District, Newton, Iowa Position: Substitute Custodian. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety of school facilities during substitute assignments. Hours and number of assignments will vary based on district staffing needs and availability. Wage: $15.50 per hour. All hired applicants must pass the DCI criminal history background check and the prework physical requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated aptitude for custodial work. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Ability to read and comprehend directions for the use of cleaning chemicals. Ability to understand and carry out mandatory federal regulations. Ability to follow district policies and practices. Position Type: Full-time substitute.
