PATIENT ADVOCATE

Patient Advocate

The Patient Advocate investigates, resolves, documents and reports organization specific patient and visitor complaints and concerns to leadership staff. The Patient Advocate collaborates with departmental leaders to ensure resolution of concerns presented by patients, families, visitors or other representatives of the patient. The position also engages in daily services recovery initiatives and assists with online facility reputation management. The Patient Advocate actively participates in the development and implementation of customer service and patient relations initiatives related to the facility's mission and goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in a psychiatric health care environment setting preferred.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Computer skills and knowledge of common computer software programs.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
