Employee-Owned Company (ESOP)Build the Future of Global ConnectivityPolar Field Services (PFS) is seeking a hands-on Deployment Engineer to support the TaaraConnect program, an innovative wireless communications network delivering high-speed connectivity through Free Space Optical Communications (FSOC) technology.This role is ideal for an experienced telecommunications, networking, or field engineering professional who enjoys a combination of technical problem solving, deployment work, international travel, and working with cutting-edge technology.What You'll DoConduct site surveys and assess deployment readiness.Install, integrate, align, and commission wireless communication systems.Perform optical and RF alignment, testing, troubleshooting, and network turn-up activities.Coordinate and manage deployment logistics for domestic and international installations.Train and oversee local contractors during deployment projects.Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to resolve technical challenges.Develop and improve deployment procedures, documentation, and best practices.Support network operations and incident response activities as needed.What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications✔ Associate degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field✔ 5+ years of telecommunications, networking, or field engineering experience✔ Experience installing and troubleshooting wireless, RF, or communications systems✔ Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills✔ Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills✔ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment✔ Valid U.S. driver's license and passport✔ Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the yearPreferred Qualifications➕ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline➕ Network+, CCNA, or similar certifications➕ Linux, Unix, or Windows administration experience➕ Experience with telecommunications deployments, manufacturing support, or process developmentWhy Join Polar Field Services?Employee-owned company (ESOP)Work with innovative communications technologyInternational deployment opportunitiesSmall, highly collaborative engineering teamsOpportunity to make a direct impact on network growth and performanceIf you're a self-starter who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and seeing projects through from planning to deployment, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today and help connect the world through next-generation wireless technology.
