Digital Print Production OperatorAs a Digital Print Production Operator, you will be responsible for job setup and printing using our cut-sheet digital printers. You will be in charge of calibrating printers and color-matching projects against our client's Pantone colors / previous jobs. You will also manage the service and maintenance of the machines as needed.This is an excellent position for someone interested in entering the industry and building a lasting career. You will also be trained to assist our large format department in printing, production, and installation projects. Primary examples of projects that need assistance are vehicle graphics and wall mural projects that require a second installer. The primary responsibility of the Digital Print Production Operator is to operate and complete all digital printing (B&W/Color) production for maximum production efficiency.Compensation and Benefits:Competitive CompensationFlexible SchedulingHard work, collaboration, humanity, fun, and laughterCareer path development8-hour shift - Monday to FridayDigital Print Production Operator Responsibilities:Responsible for operating digital commercial printers using Fiery Command Workstation.Assisting in our large format department with installations & production work when availableResponsible for imposing files for print & running USPS mail softwareWorks with Production Scheduler to prioritize and manage daily job productionProduces orders accurately, efficiently, and quickly while maintaining the highest quality standardsUpdates job status and location in MIS systemAlways runs a proof copy and compares it to the work orderControls waste and redos by quality-checking jobs as they are being producedCompletes Quality Assurance documents for all printed jobsTracks waste, spoilage, usage, and inventory for all digital printing machinesMaintains all Digital Printing Equipment logsMaintains a clean and organized work environmentPerforms all required maintenance and learns extended maintenance from the technician.Ensures that all service "clicks" are credited by the service technician in each call, including credit for poor-quality copiesCalibrates and manages all color devices as required to maintain color consistency.Monitors color consistency during all print runs and make adjustments as necessary.Other duties as assignedDigital Print Production Operator Qualifications:Digital printing experience preferredAbility to organize several activities and tasks concurrently.Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, if neededAbility to maximize profit through the efficient use of time and equipmentCan perform basic bindery functionsFamiliar and comfortable with Fiery Print Controller, a plusIs proficient with the use of Command Workstation (if applicable) to control digital workflowGraphic design skills are a plus but not necessaryCustomer service experience is a plus but not necessaryInterested?
