Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher. This contract opportunity runs from August 31, 2026, through June 9, 2027, with openings at two welcoming locations: one in Maplewood with a dedicated Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program, and another in Shoreview. Your commitment will help foster a positive learning environment for students with diverse needs, working weekdays from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education License, Tier 3 or 4.
• Additional ABS (Academic and Behavioral Strategist) or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) endorsements required.
• Previous experience in elementary settings or ASD programs is highly valued.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with students, families, and team members.
• Dedication to inclusive education and supporting varied learning styles.

Role Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students’ IEPs.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to facilitate student success.
• Monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed.
• Create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.
• Foster positive relationships with students and their families, ensuring open lines of communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and district requirements.
