Our sites serve as market hub distribution centers with inventory across North America including retail, commercial, OEM, and more. We foster a team-oriented culture focused on helping others and delivering fast-paced, high-quality service. Role and Team Role: Mechanic Tech IV in a high-production mechanic shop. You will provide the highest level of diagnostics and repair expertise on customer vehicles, including major and technically difficult diagnostics, repairs, overhauls, or rebuilds to meet contractual obligations. This position reports to the Mechanic Shop lead or designated manager. Responsibilities A/C, Heater & Refrigeration: flush system contaminants, evacuate system, add oil, charge with refrigerant; run OEM performance tests; use electrical schematics to identify and correct problems; diagnose and repair related systems. Brakes: diagnose problems, replace cylinders and calipers, perform failure analysis of components; diagnose and repair all related systems; set up and use on-car brake lathe as needed. Electrical Charging Systems: perform full diagnostics, including in-depth analysis and corrections. Clutch: perform failure analysis for premature wear or abuse; diagnose and repair systems and related problems. Cooling systems: diagnose all fan clutch types and control systems; replace fan clutches and repair related problems. Starting/Cranking System: analyze to identify root cause; diagnose and repair all related systems. Lighting system and Electrical Accessories: evaluate configuration, diagnose, isolate, and repair difficult lighting problems including shorts and open circuits. Drive Axles: inspect housing for leaks; perform diagnostics and major repairs; replace lighting harness, lamp assembly, and/or control modules on power units as needed. Drive Axles (repeat item adjusted to avoid duplication): inspect housing for leaks; perform diagnostics and major repairs as required. Transmission and Driveline: lubricate; diagnose; perform fluid and filter changes; execute major repairs or replacements on manual/automatic transmissions, differentials, transfer cases, and 4x4/AWD systems. All Engines: check and adjust oil level; identify unusual noises and leaks; diagnose and perform major repairs including engine replacement. Fuel Systems: diagnose all malfunctions; adjust components; repair and replace fuel system components including injectors. Electrical Systems: diagnose electrical concerns using wiring diagrams; trace and repair harness issues or module failures; perform diagnostics with continuity testing, voltage drop, amp draw, short circuits, and parasitic draw tests; install/program system modules and perform calibrations. Diagnose Hybrid, EV and ADAS concerns. Preventative Maintenance: perform full fault code identification and reset service intervals. Steering and Alignment: diagnose and repair steering; disassemble, diagnose, and repair/replace steering gear boxes and racks. Suspension-Chassis and Cab: diagnose suspension noises and alignment concerns; maintain, repair, and replace chassis components; perform failure analysis. Tire and Wheel Maintenance: diagnose and repair tire/wheel issues and TPMS components including sensor programming; identify the cause of improper wear. Provide leadership, development, and training to junior technicians; track and record vehicle information per department processes; assist with shop duties such as cleaning, driving, vehicle parking and staging. Provide prompt and courteous service to internal and external customers; maintain a professional appearance and workspace; promote teamwork and set a positive example.
