Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Every other weekend required.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with a healthcare team to provide optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care plans.
- Monitor and interpret EKG readings.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
- Perform wound care and support patient education.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive care or intensive care experience preferred.
- Current RN license required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience with adult patient populations, including those with chronic conditions such as CHF, Stroke, and COPD.
