Shift Type: Days & Nights , 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, schedule based on unit needs with occasional weekend coverage

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to critically ill surgical patients in a Level 1 trauma SICU
• Monitor and manage complex ventilator settings, CRRT, and hemodynamic support
• Administer and titrate vasoactive and analgesic infusions accurately
• Collaborate with intensivists, APPs, and multidisciplinary team to develop care plans
• Perform thorough patient assessments and promptly recognize changes in condition
• Document care in EPIC and ensure compliance with unit protocols
• Assist with patient transport, ADLs, and coordinate with nursing aides as needed
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing education initiatives

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Texas
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, preferably SICU
• Experience with ventilators, CRRT, and titrating vasoactive drips
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and early recognition skills
• Flexibility to float to other ICU units as needed
• Ability to work 12‑hour day shifts and occasional weekends
