River City Veterinary Hospital is seeking a licensed, full‑time Veterinary Technician (LVT) to work in Richmond, VA. Position Details • Title: Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) – full time • Location: 5220 West Broad St, Richmond, VA 23230 • Pay: $28–$32 per hour • Sign‑On Bonus: $2,000 • Schedule: 4‑day work week with rotating Saturdays (1–2 per month) – Saturday counts as one of the four days • Office hours: Monday–Friday 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM; Sunday closed Responsibilities Provide comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing laboratory work. Assist with soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, cardiac imaging, therapeutic laser, and comprehensive dental care. Operate and maintain in‑house laboratory equipment and digital imaging systems. Support clients by reviewing medical records, explaining treatments, and answering questions. Mentor and guide team members, ensuring efficient workflow and fostering a collaborative work environment. Contribute to a positive culture by participating in training, offering feedback, and upholding high clinical standards. Qualifications Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited veterinary technician program. Current, good‑standing state veterinary technician license (Virginia LVT or equivalent). Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures. Calm, efficient approach under fast‑paced or stressful conditions. Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude. Preferred: one year of experience in the veterinary industry. Schedule 4‑day work week (Monday–Thursday or Friday). Rotating Saturdays: 1–2 per month; counts toward the four days.
