Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts | Variable start times based on surgical schedule and unit needs (typical start times include 0900, 1000, or 1330)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions
• Monitor and assess patient status during the immediate post-operative recovery period
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team to ensure safe patient transitions
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities nearby as needed based on unit demands

Required Qualifications

• Valid, active California Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum of 1–2 years of PACU experience required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• Ability and willingness to float to sister facilities as assigned
• Two professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or fast-paced surgical environment
• Familiarity with travel nursing compliance requirements and onboarding processes
