Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in a dynamic environment, focusing on providing high-quality care to a diverse range of patients. The role involves working with a dedicated team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a Medical/Surgical unit.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive patient care for Medical/Surgical patients, including those with conditions such as heart failure, vascular disorders, pulmonary issues, diabetes, and sickle cell disease.
• Managing patient care for a caseload of 5-6 patients per shift, collaborating with nursing aides and other healthcare personnel.
• Operating and maintaining respiratory equipment, including nasal and face masks, and BiPAP.
• Participating actively in patient assessments, monitoring, and medication administration while adhering to safety and care protocols.
• Working on weekends, fulfilling the requirement of 6 weekend shifts every 12 weeks.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Medical Surgical unit.
• Active Georgia or compact nursing license.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• Previous travel nursing experience is strongly preferred.

Assignment details include:

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours in length, primarily on nights.
• Length of assignment: 13-14 weeks based on start date.
• Patient admits and needs vary widely; adaptability in providing care is essential.
• Orientation is provided weekly, with all new starts typically beginning on Mondays.
