Job Title: Quality Control Technician / Production Operator I Job Description

This role is responsible for manufacturing products at efficient and consistent levels while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized production environment. The Quality Control Technician / Production Operator I supports production operations by manufacturing batches, handling materials, recording quality data, and following all safety and departmental procedures. This position offers long-term growth opportunities in a manufacturing environment with structured shifts and a strong retirement plan.

• Manufacture batches of product using Basket Mill and High-Speed Disperser (HSD) equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of vessels, gates, blades, blade undersides, shafts, and related equipment, including manufacturing and maintaining lids and storage lids.
• Utilize various scales accurately to weigh raw materials and products as required by production specifications.
• Properly transact raw materials from inventory using scanners and follow all material handling procedures.
• Relocate material tanks and containers to their designated locations safely and efficiently.
• Write off drum heels as required and ensure accurate documentation of material usage.
• Perform inventory cycle counts as required and assist in maintaining accurate stock records.
• Properly record times, temperatures, and quality control tests (QCTs) for batches as required by company procedures.
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area throughout the shift.
• Follow all departmental policies and standard operating procedures related to production and quality control.
• Operate forklifts and various warehouse equipment safely when needed, up to approximately 10% of the workday.
• Lift, carry, and move raw materials or products weighing up to 100+ pounds as required by production demands.
• Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to complete production tasks, and occasionally sit, climb, or balance when required.
• Use a computer to complete company-required processes, procedures, and training, including documentation and reporting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support production, quality, and safety objectives.
• Demonstrate consistent attendance and reliability, including willingness to work overtime and weekends when production increases.
• Commit to and actively support the company’s safety and quality programs in all daily activities.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain or currently hold forklift certification and successfully pass the forklift certification test.
• Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and safety rules.
• Ability to use a computer for all required company processes, procedures, documentation, and training.
• Capability to routinely lift, carry, and move raw materials or products weighing up to 100+ pounds.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and walk on concrete for approximately 90% of the workday.
• Ability to operate a forklift for up to 10% of the workday and safely use various warehouse equipment.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with paint odors and to follow all safety and PPE requirements.
• Strong reliability and attendance, with the ability to work overtime and weekends when production demands increase.
• Positive attitude and willingness to follow instructions, policies, and quality standards.

• Experience in quality control or production within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Basket Mill and High-Speed Disperser (HSD) equipment.
• Experience using scanners for inventory transactions and material tracking.
• Comfort working in an environment with paint smells and chemical-based products.
• Interest in long-term employment with growth opportunities and a strong retirement plan.
• Ability to maintain composure and a constructive attitude in a fast-paced production setting.

This position is based in a plant manufacturing environment that operates on structured shifts, typically with a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with the expectation of overtime and weekend work when production volumes increase. Team members work on concrete floors for most of the day and may be exposed to paint smells and other typical manufacturing odors. The role involves frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing. Employees routinely handle heavy materials and operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Personal protective equipment is mandatory and includes steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses with side shields as needed, with additional gloves, aprons, respirators, and other PPE available depending on the task. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork, and values a positive attitude, consistent attendance, and commitment to quality.

This is a Contract position based out of Dayton, NV.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
