A growing food manufacturer in Monroe, WA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the safety, reliability, and performance of its production equipment. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting machinery, preventing downtime, and working closely with production and quality teams.

Job Details

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment issues
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and packaging machinery
Ensure equipment is safe, operational, and ready for production startup
Identify the root causes of recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions
Complete welding, cutting, and light fabrication as needed
Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation, and parts inventory
Support continuous improvement projects focused on safety, reliability, and efficiency
Work closely with production, quality, sanitation, and plant leadership
Train operators on safe equipment use and basic troubleshooting
Follow all GMP, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
At least three years of industrial maintenance or mechanical experience
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
Experience with preventive maintenance programs
Working knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems
Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment documentation
Welding and fabrication experience, preferably MIG or TIG
Food, beverage, packaging, or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred
Comfortable using computers for maintenance logs and inventory tracking
Dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and able to work independently

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier loads with assistance
Comfortable working around operating machinery and common food allergens
Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
