Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with remote telemetry for a patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics
• Manage a patient assignment of up to 6 patients on a 38-bed unit with an average daily census of 33
• Utilize Epic for electronic health record documentation and Pyxis for medication management
• Communicate patient status and care plans using SBAR methodology
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Work every other weekend and fulfill holiday obligations per contract terms

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Georgia or a valid Compact state license
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical setting with telemetry monitoring
• Familiarity with a broad patient population including adolescent through geriatric care
