Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse position in an acute care environment. The role involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The position supports float requirements across multiple units including high-risk obstetrics, Mother-Baby units, and postpartum care, with scheduled night shifts on a 12-hour rotation.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license in the state of practice (compact license preferred), at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or similar obstetric settings, current BLS and AWHONN Intermediate certifications, and experience with high-risk obstetrics, fetal monitoring, sterile speculum exams, and high-risk deliveries.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system; ability to float between units such as Labor, Mother-Baby, and Antepartum; familiarity with neonatal resuscitation and postpartum hemorrhage management.
  • Additional Information: This role requires the candidate to have a vehicle for assignment and flexibility to float to various units as needed, including possibly being floated to nearby facilities in different locations. The position involves working every other weekend, with a commitment to working three of the five major holidays. Orientation consists of 36 hours prior to assignment. The candidate must respond to pre-screening questions regarding prior employment at a comparable facility and provide two references covering one year within the last three years. No guarantee of consecutive 48 hours is approved.
