LOCATION: Baytown - Texas - USA

Purpose

Performs visual inspection of pipe end areas to identify, mark, and assist in repairing defects on seamless pipes in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures all work is performed in accordance with work instructions and procedures while maintaining compliance with Tenaris Quality Standards.

Main Activities

• Ensures instruments are in good condition, checking their calibration date is not expired date and correctly functioning.
• Verifies light intensity and other gauges are within tolerance.
• Performs pipe external and internal visual inspection of up to 24" from the end.
• Carries out defect identification, marking, & repair.
• Identifies pipes in accordance to the production order.
• Updates information in the tracking systems.
• Supports rework preparation activities when needed.
• Performs housekeeping of own workstation and Finishing line if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for the Job

• Strong attention to detail and ability to notice small imperfections
• Basic understanding of manufacturing, production and quality processes
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in an industrial environment
• Dependable, self motivated, and safety focused
• Prior experience in manufacturing is helpful - training provided for candidates with transferable skills
