Benefits Paid Health Insurance PTO / Holiday pay Generous scrub allowance Employee pet care discount License Reimbursement CE reimbursement 401k & Matching Relocation Bonus Core Responsibilities Clinical & Nursing Care: Provide critical nursing care for hospitalized patients, including administering medications orally, via IV or IM, providing nursing care for out-patients such as sedation and monitoring for minor procedures, obtain vitals. Surgical Assistance & Anesthesia: Prepare animals for surgery, sterilize instruments, assist veterinarians during procedures, and induce, maintain, monitor anesthesia and provide post operative. Diagnostic Imaging & Lab Work: Perform diagnostic, conduct in-house lab tests, including but not limited to blood counts, urinalysis, chemistry, and CT. Client Education & Communication: Collect complete and thorough history, thorough discharges and answer questions, assist in routing client and referring DVM questions to/through the right DVM or department. Patient Monitoring: Observe animal behavior, check vital signs, and report changes in condition. Inventory & Records: Maintain accurate medical records, manage pharmacy inventory, and ensure compliance with controlled substance logs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
