Job Title: Traveling HVAC Installer

Job Description

This role seeks an experienced HVAC technician with 4-5 years of hands-on experience who can work independently and confidently. You will install, service, and troubleshoot HVAC systems, including split systems and refrigeration equipment, while guiding and supporting other team members as needed.

Essential Skills

• 4–5 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with the ability to work independently and step into a lead role.
• Proven experience installing and servicing commercial and residential HVAC split systems.
• Demonstrated ability to rig, mount, and connect fan coil units up to 1,000 pounds safely.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining refrigeration systems.
• Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and installation for ductwork and related components.
• Strong knowledge in HVAC installation, including commercial HVAC systems, commercial HVAC equipment, split systems, and split units.
• Ability to travel for work on a recurring weekly schedule and adhere to rotating work assignments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• EPA Universal certification (preferred).
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred).
• Electrical knowledge (preferred).
• Experience working on school renovation projects or similar commercial environments.

Work Environment

You will work both indoors and outdoors on a school renovation project, performing HVAC installations and related tasks in active construction environments. The schedule typically runs Wednesday through Saturday with Sunday off, and some rotations may run Monday through Thursday, allowing you to return home Thursday and restart the following Wednesday. Travel is supported by a per diem to cover daily expenses while on assignment. The work involves commercial HVAC systems, split systems, fan coil units, refrigeration equipment, and sheet metal ductwork, requiring the use of standard mechanical, HVAC, and electrical tools. You will operate in a safety-conscious environment that follows OSHA guidelines and site-specific safety protocols.

This is a Contract position based out of Jefferson City, TN.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Jefferson City,TN.
