About the Position

The unit has six suites/labs and averages 4 to 20 cases per day. Common patient diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital conditions, TAVR, MITRACLIP, and peripheral vascular cases. The role requires collaboration with cardiologist physicians available on-call 24/7. The charge nurse serves as a resource and coordinates tasks on each shift. Cath lab technicians are registered technologists. The nursing staff will occasionally work extended hours to complete all cases, including emergency cases. Call requirements include 6 to 8 shifts per month, both primary and backup. Weekend commitments involve every 6 to 7 weeks, with a 24-hour shift for backup purposes. Holiday responsibilities include being on-call for specific holidays. There is no floating; however, experience in interventional radiology is beneficial. Scrubs are provided for the role. Unit-specific orientation consists of 2 to 3 shifts.
