Day in the life

Start your morning in our New Port Richey, FL quality lab, reviewing drawings, purchase orders, and customer flow-downs. You’ll launch DISCUS/Net-Inspect to build and submit AS9102-compliant FAIRs, log into customer portals to verify specs and upload documentation, and collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Operations to close any gaps. By afternoon, you’ll be on the bench and CMM verifying complex, tight-tolerance machined parts and sub-assemblies, performing in-process and final inspections across the Air, Hydraulics, and Elements value streams. You’ll wrap up by compiling Government PLT, Government FAT, and FAA Conformity Testing reports.

This role reports to the Quality Supervisor and sits onsite as part of the Quality Assurance team in New Port Richey, FL. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and routine overtime is part of meeting commitments.

• Produce AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports using DISCUS/Net-Inspect; manage documentation and submissions via customer portals.
• Verify materials and process certifications against drawings, POs, and customer specifications.
• Conduct in-process and final dimensional/visual inspections for Air, Hydraulics, and Elements value streams to confirm compliance.
• Use metrology tools such as CMM, micrometers, calipers, bore gages, optical comparator, height gages, ring gages, and pin gages.
• Compile and deliver Government Product Lot Testing (PLT), Government First Article Testing (FAT), and FAA Conformity Testing reports.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, and Operations to secure all inputs needed for complete, accurate FAIRs.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and 5+ years of inspection experience in Aerospace, Military, or Machining Manufacturing within an ISO9001/AS9100 environment working with customer flow-down requirements.
• 2+ years completing AS9102 First Article inspections using DISCUS; proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, and/or comparable ERP systems.
• Ability to work overtime and flex hours to meet delivery deadlines.

• Pass Ishihara’s Test for Color Deficiency and Jaeger Level 1 per PACS-PQ-0029; minimum 20/25 vision (with correction).
• Lift at least 35 lbs daily; strong hand dexterity; comfortable bending, lifting, sitting, standing, and twisting for extended periods; travel up to 10%.
• Ability to work safely with solvents, oils, and other chemicals as needed.
