Forklift Operator / Warehouse AssociateWe are seeking a Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate for a distribution company in Ayer, MA. The main responsibilities are to support daily warehouse operations through order picking, material handling, forklift operation, and safe loading and unloading of trailers.ResponsibilitiesUnload incoming trailers and load outbound trailers with customer ordersPick, stage, and pack orders using paper pick tickets, including handling large building materialsOperate heavy-duty sit-down forklifts safely and efficientlyMove, stack, and organize materials throughout the warehouseCut materials as needed for pallet constructionUpdate pick lists and look up inventory using basic computer systemsHandle additional warehouse and logistics duties as requiredQualifications & RequirementsPrevious forklift certification and experience operating sit-down forklifts requiredStrong attention to safety and accuracyAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform continuous physical laborComfortable working in an outdoor yard and in an open warehouse environmentBasic computer skills for inventory lookup and order updates preferredThis is a temporary position for approximately 6 months, with potential for permanent hire based on performance and business needs.The pay rate is $25/hr.The hours are Mon-Fri 7AM-4PM with overtime required as needed.
