Nurse Practitioner OpportunityThe Department of Otolaryngology at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As the only group of fellowship trained head and neck/microvascular surgeons in the region, this position offers the chance to work as part of a progressive team that provides this valuable ENT Surgery to patients in need of head and neck cancer treatment. This position also serves as an excellent opportunity to learn about the comprehensive management of these complex cancers and grow as a cancer care provider.Position Highlights:Full-time position with no on-call or weekend expectationsPrimary site: 50 New Scotland Avenue, Albany NY 12208Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:Participate in in-office procedures with the opportunity to learn and utilize flexible laryngoscopy.Provide follow-up care to patients, including post-operative visits and inpatient care as appropriate.Recognize and respond promptly to post-operative complications, ensuring timely intervention and optimal patient outcomes.Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions as permitted by state regulations.Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, nutrition, growth, development, and disease prevention.Respond to patient and family questions and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.Collaborate with physicians, specialists, therapists, and other healthcare team members to coordinate care.Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and standards.Qualifications:Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programCurrent NY licensure as a Nurse PractitionerFamiliarity working in electronic medical records, Epic experience a plusAbility to collaborate effectively across various departments to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and a positive work environmentAbility to maintain HIPAA and patient confidentialityAdvanced Trauma Life Support and Basic Life Support certification requiredWe offer a highly competitive benefits package, including:Competitive base salary range $116,035.00 - $141,511.65 depending on years of licensureComprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision)Generous paid time off and holiday scheduleAlbany Med retirement plan plus a 403(b)Annual CME allowance and dedicated CME timeOccurrence-based malpractice coverageEmployee wellness programs and mental health supportAlbany Medical Center is the centerpiece of medicine, research, and medical education in New York's Capital Region and is the area's largest private employer with more than 10,000 employees.Albany Medical Center offers excellent career opportunities in a wide range of roles in both patient care and administration.
