As a Security Officer Access Control in PORT HUENEME, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a government location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, maintain awareness of site activity, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming, well-organized environment. Pay Rate: $19.76 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to a government maritime location by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing authorized visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access-control systems, visitor activity, and restricted areas; document observations, access concerns, and incidents according to established protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, perimeter areas, and assigned locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
