Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring Level I trauma experience and KY or compact licensure.

Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital environment
• Care for Med/Surg patients
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 18:00 to 07:30
• Required to work every other weekend
• Float requirement to other universal/progressive care areas within UKHC and Good Samaritan

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of experience at a Level I trauma facility required
• PC/AC/Tele/Med Surg experience required
• No active license disciplinary hits accepted

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg patients within the PCU setting
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Returning permanent staff must be separated from all UK-affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must disclose all requested time off (RTO) prior to consideration, as requests made after offer will not be approved
