Wastewater Treatment Operator

Position Summary Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator – Concord, MA Woodard & Curran seeks an experienced operator to run the world’s first CoMag system. The role focuses on daily operation, laboratory analysis, record keeping, process control, and maintenance of a 1 MGD advanced wastewater treatment facility. Responsibilities Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plant equipment, building, and grounds. Perform daily process monitoring and comprehensive maintenance of the CoMag system. Conduct laboratory analysis, maintain accurate records, and manage process control. Assist with maintenance projects and general facility and grounds maintenance. Schedule Standard work hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Participate in an on‑call rotation for plant coverage outside normal hours, including weekends. Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed. Qualifications Massachusetts Grade IV or higher license, or ability to obtain within 6 months. Minimum one year of experience in wastewater treatment plant operation and maintenance, or equivalent education. Must reside within one hour of Concord, MA. High school diploma or trade school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate orally and in writing. Knowledge of biological/chemical treatment processes and aptitude for laboratory analysis. Capacity to lift or move up to 40 lbs on a regular basis. Successful candidates must complete a background check, pre‑placement physical, and drug screen. Compensation $24 – $35 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
