The ideal Dean will be a student-centric, relatable figure with impeccable character, fully dedicated to the values of the institution. They must have a terminal degree in a related field, a proven track record in research, scholarship, or creative activity, and the ability to be an effective teacher. The role also involves fostering an environment that supports interdisciplinary collaborations and serving as a bridge builder to achieve solutions that maximize efficiency and resource utilization. The Dean will work closely with the Dean's Advisory Council, students, staff, and faculty to ensure strong shared governance and will be expected to have a strong capacity for cultivating relationships to advance the college's philanthropic priorities.
