Sr. Manager, FP&A

Purpose:The Business Unit Finance Team within FP&A is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager. The position will work as an integral member of an experienced and highly skilled Finance team and responsible for analyzing and summarizing financial and operational data within their respective business unit. Services provided to the business units will include budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, strategic financial planning, analytics, reporting, as well as working alongside each defined business unit to help them achieve their financial goals.This role is a great opportunity for an individual seeking an opportunity to drive financial performance and implement new processes, reporting, and analytics while fine-tuning technical skills and understanding the growth pillars and strategies of the business. The role will provide the individual exposure to multiple aspects of the business.Minimum Eligibility Requirements:Degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA or MBA preferredMinimum of 7+ years of relevant experienceSpecialized technical training or knowledge of retail is a plusAdvanced experience using Microsoft Office, particularly excelMust be organized, able to prioritize and operate with a sense of urgencyProven ability to manage positive business partnerships and perform in complex cross-functional environment.Establishes and maintains two-way dialog with others on work and results.Skilled in financial modeling, creating business cases, and data analysisAbility to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environmentInnovative, resourceful, and able to work independentlyExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Essential Job Functions:Develops financial models and analyses to support Floor and Decor’s most critical strategic initiatives and investments.Provide Executive summaries on key indicators involving Sales, Gross Margin, Merchandising, Payroll, and other business functionsAnalyze complex financial data and summarize results and recommendations to management for decision making purposesSupport Senior Management and Departments with in-depth analysis, including financial models, ROI analyses, and proformasDrive standardization and process improvement across all planning aspects including best practicesImplement and work with Business Intelligence tools and dashboard reportingPrepare weekly and monthly reportsPerform special project ad-hoc reportingSupports annual budget process, incorporating business initiatives, economic trends, and operational effectiveness.Manages a team that supports the business unit with ad hoc analysis and reportingWorking Conditions (travel & environment)Limited travel required including air and car travel.Whileperforming the dutiesof this job, the employee isoccasionally exposed to a warehousePHYSICAL/SENSORYREQUIREMENTSSedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
