Blood Bank Technologist Baylor Shift

Location: Detroit, MI 48201

Shift: Baylor Shift, Saturday, Sunday, and 1 day during the week, overnights. Added shift different for weekends and nights.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Seeking a Blood Bank Technologist for an evening shift role in a non-hospital reference laboratory setting in Detroit. This position focuses on complex immunohematology testing and supporting hospital transfusion services.

Responsibilities:

Perform ABO/Rh typing, antibody screening, and crossmatch testing
Workup complex antibody identification cases
Provide reference lab support to hospital blood banks
Prepare and issue antigen-negative and rare blood products
Maintain QC, documentation, and regulatory compliance

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
ASCP certification (MLS or BB) preferred or eligible
Blood bank or reference lab experience strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
