Performs radiographic procedures within assigned areas in accordance with department protocols. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsibilities

• Performs all diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures within assigned areas.
• Reviews all necessary documentation to perform diagnostic procedures.
• Performs preventative visual and manual inspections for each radiographic room/equipment assigned ensuring appropriate maintenance and cleanliness.
• Participates in the training and development, instruction of staff and radiology students.
• Demonstrates basic leadership skills and professional growth.
• Accurately enters all applicable information into the computer system and charges for procedures.
• Plans and/or implements care for assigned patients.
• Contributes to an effective quality management and quality control program for assigned area that is consistent with overall departmental/hospital quality management plan.
• Chaperone patients when necessary

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: *

Licensure: State of CT Licensure. ARRT (R)

Physical Demand: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. They may frequently be required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. They may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
